I spent alot of time backpacking through the Sierras when I was younger…It’s been heavy on my mind to get out there! some new equipment would make it all the better!

Nice pack! There is enough room to pack in the needed gear for at least five days if you go modest. Hiking trips in UT or hitting up the back country of Tahoe is where I’d be using this if I win.

I would actually like to give this to my daughter. She hikes on the weekends for hours and hours. This would be perfect for her!

I’m following you and I tweeted (quelleheure4)

I would like to win this Kelty backpack because my wife and I are going to the Grand Canyon in July and we are going to hike the trail in the canyon. It will be our first time really doing something like this, and this pack would be perfect for our trip.

I used to spend a lot of time backpacking through southern California. Places like 29 palms and camp pendelton. I haven’t done much backpacking after I was attacked by a land shark (SUV). I just need a good back pack to carry my laptop.… Please Mr. Have-pack I would love to win this Kelty backpack it is by far the best pack for your buck. HOLLA.

sincerely

I wanna win because me and my lady are getting ready to set sail across the country to setup home base in a new town without jobs or anything…and backpacks always come in handy in times like that.

I run a culinary travel business and I am always on the go. Backpacks are something that I live and die by and this is a wonderful version that anyone would be lucky to have. @pigsflypr

Hello!

@mebplanner here. Thanks for the awesome Kelty backpack! …oh, sorry, practicing my acceptance speech. ;)

In the past year since my layoff, I have been taking the time to learn and develop my 20-year passion and talent for photography. In a photographer’s terms, I have no equipment but that’s not stopping me from pursuing this incredible world. By entering this contest, I am claiming the cliche saying, “Build it and they will come”. Well, if I have the backpack, the equipment will follow!

As many photographers will likely attest to, you always remember your first and your best equipment. I look forward to putting this Kelty backpack on that list!

Good luck everyone!

I would love to win this backpack as I’m finally taking the step from wussy car camping to real camping! But it’ll be hard unless I have an uber-great backpack like this one!

I am backpacking for 3 1/2 weeks in SE Asia in July. I need this pack and SOON! I’ve been looking at REI, and this is the exact backpack I actually want. My friend going with me has a Kelty from 8 years ago when she went to Europe for a month, and it still looks good after several more trips over the years. I want this pack so much that I signed up for Twitter solely to enter this contest! (It is kinda fun though.)

I would love to win the backpack as I’m traveling for 3.5 weeks in Vietnam this fall including Angkor Wat, Hanoi, Hoh Chi Minh and surrounding with 7 members of my immediate family. The pack would allow me to very attractively and functionally carry all my sh*t!!!

Looks like a decent pack. I’ve been using a Gregory mountaineering style pack for the past ten years. Wouldn’t mind trying out something different. What would I use it for? To carry my stuff while traveling … obviously. @elihansen

I’d love to win this backpack so that I can start traveling with one carry-on bag on some of my shorter, personal trips. I’d really like to explore traveling in this fashion, and I think that this backpack will remove one of the barriers for me.

Thanks,

Life has always kept me on the road, grew up travelling with my parents, took off farther afield as soon as I could, vagabonded around the county and the world, settled into a travel heavy career. Used Kelty equipment in my backpacking days and beyond, always looking for a great pack. Its just one of life’s necessities.

I’ll never forget sitting huddled up on a picnic table under my Kelty Sunshade in a thunderstorm. (no, you really shouldn’t do that!) Finally lost it to a hurricane, you definitely shouldn’t do that!

Thanks.

My current travel backpack is falling apart! The straps are being held together by safety pins. Seriously. I need a new bag real bad!

This would be perfect for my trip around Mexico early next year & the various bus/train trips I will take between now and then!

I am leaving in September to start a year of traveling around the world. First stop – Eastern Europe, then I will make my way through India, Nepal, SE Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and then head to South America for the remaining 5 months. My goal is to combine both sight-seeing and volunteering for various projects, such as WWOOF. I currently have no pack, and am on quite a budget, so this pack would be perfect for my trip. Thanks for the contest!

My husband is with a FEMA Search and Rescue Team and has been hiking to stay in shape. We just talked about heading to the Sierras this weekend to hike. He could really use a new backback and I would love to give this to him as a gift. If I don’t win, I may just buy it for him.

Thanks!
